I-Day celebrations held with grandeur at Presidency College
Bengaluru, August 15, 2017: The 71st Independence Day of India was celebrated at Presidency College by hoisting the national flag to salute the spirit of freedom, unity and strength on Tuesday.
The occasion witnessed the students and faculty members coming together to sing the national anthem.This was followed bythe NCC marching in a disciplined manner that not only gave the audience goose bumps but also a sense of integrity and dignity.
Paying tribute to the national heroes who sacrificed their lives in India’s freedom movement, the Centre for Media Studies screened short films produced by their students. Special audio visual messages for The Independence day from the management and faculty members were also screened to the audience.
Post the celebration many students volunteered for the ‘Independence Day Ride’, a bike rally that was organised by the Rotaract Club Presidency College.
