Her academic qualifications include – PhD (Finance) from Tumkur University, MMS from Symbiosis Institute of Management, Pune, affiliated to Pune University. 

She worked in the industry for 6 years before getting into teaching profession. She has 21 years’ teaching experience. The courses she has specialized in are – Managerial Accounting, Financial Management, Business Statistics, Quantitative Techniques and Operations Research, Risk Management and Derivatives and Corporate Taxation.

She has also presented many research papers at national and international conferences including conferences held at IIM – K, Accounting Research Institute, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, ICBAI, IISc, Bangalore, 7th Indian Finance Conference at IIM-B, ICBM 2020 (Sri Lanka). A paper titled ‘Is Retirement Planning a Priority for Individuals? A Study in Bengaluru City’, won ‘Best Paper Award’ at International Conference conducted by ISME, Business School in February 2019.
