Merilyn Gomes is presently working as an Assistant Professor at Presidency College (Autonomous) Bengaluru, India. She completed her Post Graduation in Commerce and Bachelor in Education from Goa University. Her interests are in the field of Entrepreneurship and Environment sustainability. She has over 20 years of Teaching experience for Undergraduate students in BBA and B.Com programme and 3 years corporate experience in UAE. She strongly believes in the saying by Albert Einstein “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid. Every learner is endowed with special skill which needs to be identified and pruned to bring out the best in Him/Her and the role of a Teacher lies in facilitating the process. This vocation comes with a lot of learning, re-learning and unlearning and hence she believes that we need to handle the students with love, care and compassion.
