The Department of Computer Application of Presidency College has donated 6 computers to the Government Higher Primary School, Dibbur, Bangalore North, on 22nd December, 2011 at 11am as part of its social outreach program.
41 Dictionaries have been given to the students of 5th, 6th and 7th standards of the same school. Further 2 Meritorious students were rewarded with stationeries and educational books worth Rs 500 each.
Social outreach program is an endeavor of Presidency College in reaching out to the underprivileged children by providing them with computer education.
This program was initiated two years ago with Govt. middle school, Kempapura, Hebbal. The students of this school have benefited from computer education continuously for two years. Recently, the students of Govt. School Dibbur were trained on Ms-Office Tools.
In pursuance of extending its objective to the underprivileged children to‘ gain more knowledge and rise to greater heights’, the Management of Presidency College has contributed 6 computer systems to the Dibbur School on the 22nd of December 2011 ,Thursday.
Dr Muddu Vinay, The Director and principal of Presidency College was the Chief Guest of the occasion. President of the Grama panchyat of Singhanayakanahalli along with other local dignitaries participated in the function.
